Required Technology expertise: MS Windows, Apple OS and Linux OS Software, MS-Excel, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office 365, Security, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SSL VPN, Email & Web Content systems, Endpoint Security and Authentication


This is a tier 2-support role and we are looking for someone with great customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for technology and troubleshooting.


Support users on all issues related to internal custom built application tools
Support users on issues relating to Windows workstations, servers and network connectivity
Troubleshoot some Windows 7, Apple OS and Linux OS Software
Reimage and deploy workstations for pre-existing and new users
Initial level of debugging and resolution (e.g. restarting edit server, interpreting latency graphs, identifying local vs global issues etc)
Monitor development mailing lists with respect to identifying new/resolved bugs and to be aware of developments that affect the site and to provide ideas, solutions and processes to minimize local disruption.
Maintaining record of team specific inventory (workstations, monitors)
Knowledge of Security across one or more of the following: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SSL VPN, Email & Web Content systems, Endpoint Security and Authentication
Analysis and Troubleshooting of IP networks 
Qualifications & Requirements:

Computer Science Degree or equivalent
5+ years experience in Windows
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge and experience working with spreadsheets such as MS-Excel an advantage
Essential skills and experience:

Experience in supporting network infrastructure, including switches, routers and firewalls
Knowledge of one or more of the following Protocols - HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, DNS, SIP, TCP/UDP, Pv4 and IPv6.
Experience in supporting and maintaining Microsoft Windows Servers / Desktops, SBS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office 365
Experience supporting virtualized environments
Ability to develop and maintain documentation
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team Professionally presented
